The route at a glance
The Tour de Bourgogne covers more than 660 kilometres of well built, signposted routes through Burgundy. Dijon, the region's capital, is the gateway to the famous vineyards, and along the Route des Grands Crus you can taste some of the best known wines. In Beaune it is worth stopping at the Hôtel-Dieu, a former hospital that is now a museum. Part of the route uses car-free voies vertes through villages, beside canals and along rivers such as the Saône and the Yonne, good for relaxed stages.
