The route at a glance

The RurUfer Cycle Path follows the Rur for about 170 kilometres, from its source near the High Fens in Belgium to where it joins the Maas in the Netherlands. The first section crosses the hilly Eifel, with meadows, forests and villages, to Monschau and its half-timbered houses and narrow lanes. In the middle Rur valley you pass Düren and Jülich, and in the Dutch section the land opens out wide and flat. The route is well signposted, with plenty of inns and cafés along the way.
