The route at a glance

The Upper Swabia Allgäu Cycle Path runs for about 360 kilometres from Ulm, whose minster has the tallest church tower in the world, south through Upper Swabia into the Allgäu. Along the way you pass the monasteries of Ochsenhausen and Weingarten and ride through Bad Waldsee, Wangen im Allgäu and Kempten. Gentle hills, meadows and farming villages come first, then lakes and views of the Alps in the Allgäu. The route is well signposted, flat to gently hilly and manageable for riders of every level.
