The route at a glance

The Kocher-Jagst cycle route is a loop of about 335 kilometres in Baden-Württemberg that follows the valleys of the Kocher and the Jagst. In the Kocher valley you pass through Schwäbisch Hall, with its well-preserved old town and St. Michael's Church, and Aalen, and on the Jagst through Ellwangen with its castle and baroque basilica. Along the way you see vineyards, castles and old mills, and the inns serve Maultaschen. The paths are well signposted and mostly flat along the rivers, so it makes an easygoing tour of several days.
