The route at a glance

The Hohenzollern Cycle Path runs around 300 kilometres through Baden-Württemberg, from the Swabian Alb down to Lake Constance. In Hechingen, the historic seat of the Hohenzollern family, Hohenzollern Castle sits high on its hill above the countryside. Through the Lauchert valley you reach the Danube and Sigmaringen, whose castle stands right on the river, before continuing to Lake Constance and the towns of Überlingen and Meersburg. The route is well signposted and mixes flat stretches with moderate climbs, so it is manageable without much training.
