The route at a glance

The DonauTäler-Radweg covers about 220 kilometres and starts in Donaueschingen, where you can see the source of the Danube before setting off. From there you follow the young Danube through valleys of meadows, woods and gentle hills into Upper Swabia. Along the way you pass Sigmaringen with its large castle and the old imperial town of Riedlingen. The route is well signposted and mostly flat, so it works well for a first tour with luggage.
