The route at a glance
The Danube-Lake Constance Cycle Path links the Danube with Lake Constance over around 260 kilometres in Baden-Württemberg. It starts in Ulm, whose minster has the tallest church spire in the world. From there you follow the Danube and then cross Upper Swabia, a region of wide fields, forests and moors with many monasteries and baroque churches, until you reach Lake Constance with the Alps in view. The paths are well signposted and mostly flat, which makes it a good choice for your first multi-day bike trip.
