The route at a glance

Autour du Luberon is a signposted loop of about 236 kilometres around the Luberon massif in Provence, starting in Cavaillon. You ride quiet country roads and dedicated cycle paths past limestone cliffs, oak woods and lavender fields that flower in summer. The villages along the way include Gordes, Roussillon and Bonnieux, and Lourmarin has a Renaissance château. The loop asks for some fitness, and it pays to leave time for olive oil, wine and cheese bought straight from the producers.
