The route at a glance

The Ammer-Amper-Radweg covers around 200 kilometres of Bavaria, first along the Ammer and then along the Amper. You start in Oberammergau, known for its painted Lüftlmalerei facades and the Passion Play, and ride through the Ammer valley between mountains and meadows to Weilheim. On the Amper you cross the Ampermoos wetland and pass Fürstenfeldbruck and Dachau before finishing in Moosburg an der Isar. The path is well built and signposted, with plenty of inns along the way for a break.
