The route at a glance

The Iller Cycle Path follows the Iller for about 146 kilometres from Oberstdorf in the Allgäu to where it flows into the Danube at Ulm. At the start you ride with the Allgäu mountains in view, through Sonthofen to Kempten. Further downstream the river forms the border between Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg and the valley turns quiet and green. Ulm is the finish, with its Gothic minster and the tallest church spire in the world. The path is well built and signposted and suits riders of every level.
