The route at a glance
The Baden Wine Cycle Route covers around 460 kilometres of Baden's wine country, from Grenzach-Wyhlen on the Swiss border to Laudenbach in the north. You ride through the vineyards of the Markgräflerland, over the Kaiserstuhl with its volcanic soils and on through the Ortenau and the Kraichgau, with views of the Black Forest and the Rhine plain. Along the way you pass Baden-Baden and plenty of wine villages, wineries and inns. The route is well built and signposted, and suits you if you like to combine cycling with wine tasting.
